It offers “cool” and sealing properties by combining high thermal reflectance/emittance and seal even from ponding water. The fibers inserts offer an absolute sealing solution, follow the contractions/expansions of the surfaces due to temperature changes, while in the same time prevent the crack formation and result to a flawless final membrane. The elastomeric membrane bridges the capillary cracks of the substrate and remains elastic from -20oC up to +60oC without cracking. It is breathable and resistant to extreme weather conditions, constant moisture, frost, intense sunlight, abrupt temperature fluctuations and city pollution.
Ideal for new or old exterior construction surfaces such as rooftops, or substrates form ellenite, bricks, plasterboard, cement board, cement, plaster etc.
Surface preparation: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from oil, grease and other foreign, friable matters or contamination.New substrates from cement and new masonry should have cured for more than 4 weeks before the application. Fill the bridging gaps and hairline cracks with a suitable putty. The substrates should be primed before the application either with SurfaPaint Hellas Cool White Elastomeric Roof diluted with 50% v/v with water or primed with water-based primer SurfaMix P (high porous surfaces) or solvent-based primer SurfaMix P SB (low porous surfaces) or SurfaMix Universal Primer (nonporous surfaces such as metallic surfaces).
Application note: Stir well before application. Application temperature should be between 8 – 35⁰C. The moisture on the substrate should not exceed 6 % (by weight) and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%. Two full uniform coats are recommended by using a good quality brush, roller or spray without thinning. Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first coat. Ensure corners and edges are adequately covered. Maximum sealing effect is achieved 7 days after application. All tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with warm water and soap
Spreading rate: 1±0.5 m²/L, depanding on the application surface properties.
Drying time: 8-10h at 20oC. Low temperatures and high relative humidity may prolong drying time.
